A holistic, student-centered approach in collaboration with schools, parents and the community.

Our mission is to provide personalized, high-touch in-home tutoring services equipping youth from K-12 with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed inside and outside the classroom.

Our vision is to build strategic partnerships and strong community ties to create a more holistic approach to education and skill development and to encourage more self-aware, autonomous learners prepared for the future of work.

Our Story

Our founding story is one rooted in friendship, a deep love for children and a big dose of passion and hard work.

Friendship

We have known each other for over 20 years, worn the same tartan skirt and knee socks, blocked many soccer balls as co-defense women, worked alongside one-another in the retail industry and crossed paths in the hospital as we welcomed our first-borns to the world 5 days apart.

Passion

Complementary skill sets and shared work ethic aside, passion is where we meet and is what fuels everything we do. We are both lucky to have mothers who have been role models in female entrepreneurship and we are excited to build something simple and meaningful for the community and for its future leaders.

Love

Each of us with two young children to mold, nurture and teach, we are constantly questioning whether or not we are making the best decisions.

As mothers and school board members, we are convinced that the support for children, parents, schools and others charged with raising future leaders is best achieved by building a local network of strategic partnerships and community relationships, to imagine a more holistic and integrated solution.

Amy

Amy holds her Bachelor degree in International Business from McGill University. After three years of building and selling a successful business in the education sphere, she has decided to do it again, with Monarque Tutoring. A true entrepreneur at heart, she has a customer-first mindset, going above and beyond to ensure exceptional service.

Meagan

Meagan holds her MBA from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor degree in International Business and Organizational Behaviour from the University of Western Ontario. Having assumed leadership roles in the retail and tech start-up industries, she brings to Monarque a wealth of experience in international business strategy, operations and management. She approaches her work with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong set of values.
