Carley is a musician from Ottawa, Canada who began her violin studies 17 years ago in Texas. Since completing her BA from McGill University, Carley obtained a postgraduate diploma from the University of Leicester in Psychology and recently completed her Suzuki teacher training certification. When she is not teaching, Carley enjoys playing violin in ensembles, including the OSI and several chamber music groups. She has held concertmaster and principal positions and was featured as a soloist in the Marrowstone Music Festival in the Pacific Northwest. Carley’s approach to music education is multifaceted and individualized, and as a music educator she strives to build a strong technical foundation and to develop a sense of musicianship through fun and engaging lesson plans that are suited to her students’ musical interests. She currently offers violin, viola, and piano lessons.
