Caroline is a 4th year McGill student studying to be an English second language teacher. She has taught ESL through multiple internships in primary and secondary schools, within the TESL McGill University program. As of Fall 2019, her GPA stands at 3.5 on 4.0. After being in the TESL program for 4 years, she has learned a lot about pedagogy, teaching strategies and building programs that students love. She is originally from France and moved to Montreal 8 years ago. She studied French, English Literature and Theatre in Cegep and performed in many shows and plays throughout her academic career. Through the arts, she acquired many of the skills that she now applies to her teaching. Caroline discovered her passion for teaching and tutoring while helping classmates’ study for the French Baccalaureate. Since then, she has been tutoring students in English and French from beginners to advanced levels. After tutoring and teaching for multiple years, she has acquired many effective strategies which allow her to tailor her approach to each student’s specific needs.
