Clara Lewis is entering her third year at McGill University, with a major in psychology and a minor in both behavioural science and the environment. She is a certified lifeguard and swim instructor and has been teaching swimming lessons for the past five years to people of all ages. She now works as a swim instructor supervisor, where she oversees lessons and ensures that all swimmers are getting the attention they need to progress. She has worked as a sleep away camp counsellor for three summers, mainly working with young girls between the ages of seven and twelve. During these summers, she helped her campers build confidence as well as learn to connect with the natural world. Last summer, she assumed the role of Director for a leadership development program at that same summer camp. She helped teach aspiring counsellors important leadership skills as well as techniques to engage with children. She is passionate about teaching children and enjoys learning alongside them.
