Danielle is a spirited educator who is entering her fourth and final year of Kindergarten/Elementary Education at McGill University. Danielle is a hardworking student who has always been passionate about her schooling and is so excited to officially be a teacher when she graduates! As a pre-service teacher, Danielle believes that the most important thing any teacher can do for their students is to make them feel like they have a voice and that this voice is valued. Danielle follows a constructivist approach to teaching/learning because she feels teachers must remember that every child is unique and they all learn in different ways. She has a significant amount of experience working with children in many different environments. Danielle has worked at multiple summer camps as a counsellor and was a part of the managing team for one camp, where she worked closely with parents to ensure the well-being of all campers. Additionally, she worked for 3 years as a counsellor at an EMSB extended day program where she was able to work with students from all grades in an educational and recreational setting. Danielle has experience lesson planning through her various internships at McGill and in January 2020 she began working as a substitute teacher for the EMSB, due to her excellent performance as a student-teacher during her third field experience. Danielle is someone who is dedicated to her work no matter what it is and she is so grateful to be able to work with kids and help them become the best person they can be!
