Isabelle is an enthusiastic and passionate educator who is committed to guiding students toward academic success. She graduated from Concordia University with Distinction in 2016. Upon receiving her BA in Sociology, she decided to pursue her love of academia and become an Educator. In May 2020, she completed her second Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary English Education at McGill University. Isabelle is perfectly bilingual and has experience teaching English, Drama, and ESL in Greater Montreal High Schools and internationally through online programs. Her strengths lie in developing well-rounded, differentiated, and fun lesson plans which are in line with curriculum expectations. Following her fourth Student Teaching Internship, Isabelle was awarded the opportunity to correct the Secondary V Ministry exam in 2019. Through this experience, she has cultivated a clear understanding of the trajectory of English studies in Quebec and the tools necessary for success. Isabelle’s teaching philosophy centers on the belief that students engage in meaningful learning when they feel a connection to the material provided. For this reason, she is committed to adapting material and teaching methods to promote academic achievement. She utilizes effecting pedagogical strategies in order to create a supportive, encouraging, and thought-provoking learning space. Isabelle always maintains a positive attitude and applies patience and problem-solving skills to ensure that every student she encounters reaches their full potential.
