Sandia is an elementary school teacher with a Bachelor of Education (McGill University) and Master of Arts in Child Studies (Concordia University). She currently works as a special education teacher for children with academic, emotional and behavioural needs. Sandia’s teaching philosophy is centred around attachment and fostering positive relationships with her students. She takes the time to understand their academic and emotional needs in order to support them in a meaningful way. Sandia makes an effort to engage her students in the learning process by including their interests into the curriculum. She encourages questions, curiosity and independence.
