Sarah D.

French, ESL , FSL, Elementary, Middle School

Sarah was born and raised in Montreal, in a bilingual household, and developed a keen interest for languages at a very young age. After graduating with distinction from Concordia University’s Communication Studies program in 2016, she completed Cambridge University’s CELTA certificate with a Pass A, a grade obtained by only 5% of graduates worldwide. In 2017, she worked at two language schools before heading off to Japan where she taught English with the JET Programme for over three years. From a young age, Sarah has been very passionate about East Asian languages and culture. She is perfectly bilingual in both French and English, and has a high mastery of the Japanese language. Sarah now works as a Francisation teacher at the LaSalle Community Comprehensive High School. Her enthusiasm, positivity and passion can be felt when she communicates with students during her lessons. When teaching, Sarah’s goal is to lead interesting, communicative lessons where students feel comfortable and confident.
