Swimming
Charlotte is a thoughtful and encouraging swim instructor with several years of experience teaching swimmers of different ages and abilities. She is currently in her first year at McGill University studying Architecture and brings creativity, patience, and strong problem-solving skills to her coaching. Charlotte worked for three years as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA, where she taught both children and adults, including swimmers as young as two years old. She also spent two summers at a camp for children with disabilities, first as a lifeguard and later as a counsellor and team leader. These experiences strengthened her ability to adapt to each swimmer’s needs, build trust, and create a safe, supportive environment. Charlotte’s approach centers on helping swimmers feel comfortable in the water before moving into skill development. She believes that overcoming fear and building confidence are the first steps toward progress. Her lessons often include games and engaging activities, using tools such as noodles, kickboards, and sink toys to make learning fun and accessible. NLS certified and comfortable working with young children, Charlotte combines safety, warmth, and structure in every lesson. Whether helping a beginner take their first steps in the water or supporting a swimmer as they build technique and independence, she focuses on making each session positive, confidence-building, and enjoyable.
