Swimming
Devin brings a lifelong love of swimming to her coaching. Having been in the water since infancy, she has developed both strong technical knowledge and a natural comfort teaching swimmers of all ages. She began coaching in 2022 and now teaches year-round, working during the winter with a competitive swim club in LaSalle and spending her summers as Head Coach at Riverside Pool. Devin has worked with swimmers as young as five months old and as old as fifteen, supporting everything from first water experiences to competitive stroke development. She especially enjoys working with younger children and is skilled at turning lessons into fun, confidence-building experiences. Through games, toys, and playful challenges, she helps swimmers become comfortable in the water while gradually developing independence and endurance. For more advanced swimmers, Devin focuses on refining technique through clear, targeted feedback. She works on kick strength, arm coordination, body position, and stroke efficiency, helping each swimmer improve at their own pace. Her private lessons often combine technical drills with engaging activities, making progress feel both structured and enjoyable. Devin is certified in NLS, first aid, lifesaving, and swim coaching, and also holds a lifeguard teaching license, allowing her to train other lifeguards. Calm, capable, and encouraging, she prioritizes safety while helping swimmers build confidence, skill, and a lasting enjoyment of the water.
