Léa completed a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Social Studies at the Université de Montréal and went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Physical Geography at Université Laval. She has also worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Andragogy at the Université de Montréal, where she helped to train future teachers. her long-term goal is to teach a university-level course in the didactics of Social Studies. She is truly passionate about education and social issues and has explored these passions through extensive travel and international research and teaching opportunities. Most recently, she conducted a research study in Morocco on the implementation of Indigenous languages in schools and the challenges they face. Currently, Léa is a full-time secondary teacher at a private school, teaching French, History, Political Science and Economics. Prior to this, she worked in a youth center for girls and in the public school system. Léa is a dedicated, calm, and positive teacher. Building strong relationships with her students is central to her approach and she strives to implement engaging and diverse strategies to support their academic success. Outside of work, she loves the outdoors, music, running, and fitness.
