Sarah L.

Skating

Sarah is an energetic and passionate skating instructor with a lifelong connection to the ice. Having started figure skating at just two years old, she brings nearly three decades of experience to her teaching. Originally from Montreal, Sarah graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations and currently works full-time as a Behaviour Technician with the English Montreal School Board. Her professional background in child development deeply informs her teaching style. The techniques she uses as a behaviour tech—patience, positive reinforcement, and individualized support—translate seamlessly to the rink. She is skilled at helping skaters of all ages and abilities build confidence, develop technique, and stay motivated. Early in her career, Sarah worked with the East Foundation, where she taught children with disabilities how to skate, an experience that continues to shape her inclusive and compassionate approach. Trilingual in English, French, and Italian, Sarah creates a welcoming environment for every student. Known for her vibrant personality and enthusiasm, she brings warmth, structure, and fun to each lesson. Whether introducing beginners to the joy of skating or refining advanced skills, Sarah’s goal is to help every skater feel capable, supported, and proud of their progress—both on and off the ice.
