Alexandra is currently a third year student at McGill University completing her Bachelors of Education in Secondary English Language Arts. She has a strong academic standing and maintains a 4.0 GPA. She is also a two-time recipient of the “Excellence Bursary for Future Teachers” scholarship. Once this degree is completed, Alexandra wishes to pursue a Masters in Educational Psychology, in order to refine her mastery of developmental learning styles.
Currently, Alexandra works at Kuper Academy in the West Island as a substitute teacher, while simultaneously completing a student-teaching internship through her program. She has also worked in the public sector and has, thus, been afforded the opportunity to work in various educational settings with children of diverse backgrounds and academic needs. She has experience tutoring in English, History and French at both the elementary and high school level. Fluent in English, French and Greek, Alexandra understands the barriers that are present in bilingual learning, and works to break those barriers, allowing students to flourish. With the understanding that no two students learn in the same manner, Alexandra believes in meeting the specific needs of each student by varying instructional styles. She is very passionate and provides discipline along with her instruction in order to foster their love for learning and ensure their academic success.
