Ben is currently completing his Undergraduate Degree at McGill University in Bioengineering and hopes to pursue a Masters in the field of subcellular mechanics. Before attending the John Abbott Honors Science program, where he maintained a position in the top 10% of his program, Ben graduated from a French high school where he was the valedictorian and received la médaille du gouverneur général – a distinction awarded to the top student in the graduating class. In addition to tutoring subjects that pertain to his field of study, Ben has experience (and quite enjoys) peer reviewing CEGEP level English and humanity essays. Although Ben primarily tutors CEGEP level students, his years spent as a camp counselor and organizer have given him the tools to build strong rapports with younger high school aged students. As a tutor, Ben understands that learning is not uniform across all students. As a result, he looks to structure the tutoring sessions and teaching approaches around the student’s particular needs. Ben is an avid outdoor enthusiast – in his spare time he enjoys hiking, camping, and climbing. Some of his other interests include exploring sport science, cinema, and Hip Hop music.
